 Direction

Avoid shampooing before relaxing. Analyze the client’s scalp and hair health. Do not brush or comb vigorously. Choose the proper relaxer’s strength. While using the relaxer’s instructions, run a strand test on a tiny part of the hair. Rinse out the product right away and stop using the relaxer if your scalp becomes itchy during the application or you notice a change in the integrity of your hair. You only move forward after a successful strand test. As a reference, use the relaxer timing chart and strand test.

 Relaxer Application

Step 1: Apply a shielding base to the ears, hairline, and scalp. Prevent hair.

Step 2: Set the timer appropriately.

Step 3: While wearing safety goggles, use an application brush or the back of a rattail comb to apply a generous amount of relaxer to the area that is the most resistive. Just apply to fresh growth if your hair has previously been relaxed. On previously relaxed hair, avoid overlapping. Avoid using it on the scalp. Apply throughout the entire head, parting into thin portions. Apply last to the hairline. Gently smooth hair in the direction of application with your fingers or the back of a rattail comb until the required straightness is reached.

Step 4: After a thorough, at least 5-minute rinse with warm water, apply a hefty dose of Olive Oil Neutralizing Shampoo. Work up a thick lather and leave it on the hair for two to three minutes before rinsing.

Step 5: After towel drying, use Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner as directed by the product.

How to Use Olive Oil Relaxer

An olive oil relaxer is a kind of hair relaxer that conditions and straightens hair using olive oil. While some olive oil relaxers are free of harsh ingredients like sodium hydroxide and guanidine hydroxide, others do. People who wish to go from relaxed to natural hair or who want to make their hair more manageable as well as those who are in between relaxing treatments can all benefit from using a natural olive oil relaxer. Olive oil relaxers, like many other relaxers, ought to be applied every four to eight weeks.

While chemical-free relaxers won’t be as effective as their chemical counterparts, they are more moisturizing and gentler on the hair. Olive oil relaxers that don’t contain chemicals function similarly to those that do. Olive oil is a chemical that raises pH levels, much like lye or sodium hydroxide. Olive oil penetrates the hair’s cuticles when used as a relaxer, slightly changing the chemical connections in the hair. The hair should be straighter and easier to handle after applying an olive oil relaxer.

People who want to loosen their hair’s natural texture without causing damage frequently use olive oil relaxers. These relaxers can be used between relaxing treatments as long as they don’t contain any chemicals. To keep their style during the growing-out process, people who want to quit relaxing their hair can also employ olive beauty products.
